  Spokane homes for sale...

While the rest of the country has been plagued with bad real estate reports, Spokean homes for sale have had it pretty good for an extended period of time. There seems to be some leveling out of the Spokane homes for sale. The number of active Spokane homes for sale inventory has increased to almost 3000 homes on the market from 2600 on January. This is an almost 11% increase in inventory on the Spokane homes for sale market. It is quite normal for the number of Spokane homes for sale on the market to increase this time of year.

Spokane homes for sale buyers are having more choices in inventory and sellers are having to be more aggressive, sometimes lowering their price a couple of times before the home sells. The average sold price for the last 6 months on Spokane homes for sale was about $222,000. The median sales price for Spokane homes for sale was slightly lower at $188,500 as compared to January's number at $190,000. The average days on market for the Spokane homes for sale that did sell rose to 52 days from the 47 day mark in January.

Ron Wells teamed up with Avista to redevelop the historic steam plant building, developing the 60,000-square-foot plant and its imposing towers. ConoverBond Development, then redeveloped the abandoned 136,000-square-foot Holley Mason Building. It was first used as a temporary home for Lewis and Clark High School while the school's original 1914 building was remodeled. Holley Mason is now 100 percent occupied by high-tech office tenants. Other projects followed soon after: the Davenport Hotel, the Riverpoint Campus for Eastern Washington University and Washington State University, and the historic American Legion Building. The long-abandoned 1899 Montvale Hotel will re-open next month. All of this have contributed to the rebirth of Spokane and a stronger Spokane homes for sale market.
